Iron Les
Once upon a time, there used to be a king with a son and three daughters. The son was strong as iron, so he was called Iron Les. Apart from being strong, Iron Les was also naughty: seven devils lived in him. One day he was so angered by his elder sisters' bickering, that he wished the earth would swallow them. So it happened. Having no other choice left, he set off to find his sisters. So begins Les's journey to become a hero. The story, which was based on one of the most eventful classic of Hungarian folklore, a tale by Benedek Elek is reshaped with traditional puppetry techniques and live music with the artists of Vojtina Puppet Theatre.
The show is recommended for ages 4 and up!
For almost a quarter of a century, the Festival Orchestra’s program series for children has brought a high-quality classical musical experience to the youngest. The orchestra’s rehearsal room not only serves experimenting with the tiniest details of the symphonic pieces to be performed or playing chamber music, but also as the venue for educating the next generation of classical music lovers.
